How to choose the right saw chain?

Determine the length of the guide rail by measuring the distance from the base of the guide rail to the tip of the rail. |
The chain thickness indicates the thickness of each drive link. Determine their strength by measuring the area of the drive link within the guide rail. |
The chain pitch indicates the distance between the drive links. Measure the division by counting three links in a row and dividing by two. |
Count each drive link to determine the total number of drive links on your saw chain. |
