Description

A forestry chain or back chain should not be missing in any felling. It is used to create felled tree trunks, uprooted bushes or bulky roots out of the way and move them to a collection location or for removal. This process is commonly called wood backing or wood bringing. The chain is looped around the trunk, attached to itself with the safety hook and placed with the ring at the other end over a suitable coupling. The hook can also be attached to another suitable tool that is then attached to the trunk. And tearing and back can begin!

The XPOtool forestry and back chain can be easily operated by one person. It has a total length of 1.83 m, the individual robust and durable round steel links have a generous cross section of 10 mm. Their yellow signal colour makes it visible to everyone. So it stands out well from its environment, such as the forest floor, and cannot be overlooked. Another safety feature is its anti-kickback feature and the spring hook that prevents it from bouncing back. The ring is so wide that it fits over ball couplings up to 2 inches.

In addition to the wooden back, the back chain can also be used to pull smaller trees directly from the soil together with their root. This saves you the hassle of digging up the root with hoe, shovel and spade after cutting down a tree. Attached to the coupling of a suitable vehicle, such as a tractor, ATV or lawn tractor, the chain then ensures that the attached plant follows you to the destination and can be transported from there to the next destination.
