Digital 8-track portastudio

The DP-03SD offers an affordable opportunity to become part of the Tascam Portastudio community, which opens the door for easy and inexpensive recordings. This 8-track digital portastudio stores your CD quality music on inexpensive SD cards. A 4GB card is included. With built-in microphones, effects and mastering, the DP-03SD offers everything musicians need to record and share their music.

The stereo condenser microphone built into the front of the recorder helps to record samples, live performances or song ideas. In addition, there are two high-quality XLR inputs with phantom power for condenser microphones. 6.3 mm line inputs are also included, and they can be switched to instrument level to record a guitar or bass without a DI box. Foot switch available (RC-3F), which with its three buttons makes transport control easier and allows hands-free recording.

You can record two tracks at the same time until all eight are full. After recording, you can edit your pieces with commands such as copy/paste, silent, clone and reverse. Intermediate mixtures (bouncing) are also possible, whereby all eight traces can be mixed to one or two. It is even possible to import a WAV file via USB.

Each track includes its own effect path leading to a stereo hall processor, as well as a 2-band shelling EQ. Once you have perfected your mix with the 45mm threaders, pan controls, reverb and EQ, pick it up. With mastering effects such as EQ and Limiter, you can then give your mixture a dense, modern sound. Transfer your piece to a computer via USB.
