Why Mazel Chipper
The Mazel Strike Wedge is simply a more effective chipping bat than a 7 iron - or any other traditional iron. There is the wrong idea that the Square Strike Wedge has the loft of a 7 or 8 iron. In fact, the loft of 45° is 12-15 degrees more than a 7 iron, so you can play a wide variety of shots (not just low runners). Combine that with a heavier club head, an extra-wide sole, a beveled front edge and extra weight in the tip, and you get a bat that stays at right angles to the target longer and sweeps the grass instead of digging into grease. In summary, you get a bat designed for precise chipping (and not just one that can be used for chipping).

Lower COG and higher MOIBy shifting the mass to the toe, the designers achieved two other important improvements. The Mazel Chippers center of gravity is exactly in the middle of the striking face - and is marked by a vertical line - while its MOI (moment of inertia) is higher than a typical wedge. So it delivers lethal accuracy in pure contact and exceptional fault tolerance in failures. |
Anti-rotation weightOur Mazel Chipper Wedge shifted the weight from the heel area to the tip to prevent excessive opening and closing of the club head back and down. The blade is engineered to stay at right angles to the finish line, so wrist joint and good timing are no longer required to hit a solid shot. |
