The top reflector/lampshade from Petromax focuses the light of the Petromax lamp and reflects it downwards. This results in several advantages: If the lamp is mounted in a raised position, e.g. with the Petromax lamp holder, no light is lost upwards. So the lamp illuminates the larger area very effectively. If you look at the Petromax from above, the reflector umbrella acts as a glare protection. For the HK500, the shade is nickel-plated and chrome-plated, gold-plated and matt chrome-plated. The HK 150 is available in chrome-plated and gold-plated and nickel-plated. The Petromax top reflector is not only an extremely practical addition. It also gives the world-famous strong light lamp its characteristic look.
