More safety, more comfort
Febi brake pads do not have to be retracted or "braked". Scorching ensures immediate braking performance during production. In this process, the surface of the brake pads is heated to 650˚ C under high pressure, so that uncured components (residual gases) are removed. Without scorching, there is a risk of the brake pads overheating under heavy loads and losing braking effect.
To ensure consistent quality, all Febi brake pads meet ECE R-90 regulations. Brake pads are safety-relevant wearing parts. Therefore, at febi every single item is tested according to strict test specifications. ECE R-90 is a procedure prescribed in the EU in which the braking performance of brake pads is tested. This creates confidence and makes inferior cheap imports easy to recognise.
