Grip tapes you use per season

PROTIP: The number of handles used per season depends on how often you want to change them, this is very personal. The game level also affects how many handles you use. The average is that recreational players use one to four Gribbid programs per season and professional players use ten or more programs per season.

Wrap your grip tape

PROTIP: The length of the gribbid progrip is 160 cm and fits all hockey stick sizes with the right winding. We guess: For sticks with a length of 36.5 inches, use an overlap of 6 mm. For 37.5 inch sticks, an overlap of 4 mm is sufficient and for 38.5 inch sticks, 2 mm overlap is all you need. All our handles include the original Gribbid logo white waterproof tape/mounting tape for final attachment. The ribbon is rolled up together with the hockey handle and can be found after rolling out the handle.

Using a hockey glove

PROTIP: If you wear a closed hockey glove, the rough inside of the glove at the top of your bat rubs against your chamois leather. To prevent this wear, stick +/- 8 cm of your stick with sports tape.

Step1

First use: When using your Gribbid Chamois Progrip for the first time, moisten the handle before wrapping it tightly around your stick. In this case, the handle fits smoothly and stays firmly in place during use. Secure it with the special Gribbid end band that always comes with your Progrip.

Step2

Match and training: Make sure to moisten your Gribbid Chamois Progrip with clean tap water before each match or workout. This gives you more grip and control. Repeat this during a training or play break, especially in dry weather.

Step3

After each use: Wipe your gribbid chamois progrip clean with cold tap water, never soap. Wet your handle again before storing it at home or in your locker. Keep your club in a cool place so that the handle does not dry out and becomes hard and wobby.
