Instructions for vacuum glass bulb insert:
Glass bulb inserts generally have higher insulation performance than stainless steel inserts. However, glass has the disadvantage that it breaks when the material tension is too high. Glass inserts can break if exposed to high temperature differences. Rinse with warm water (approx. 40 degrees) too high material tensions can be avoided. Preheating also reduces temperature loss when filling. However, if the glass surface is damaged by fine scratches, even lower material stresses lead to the glass bulb shattering. Therefore, the glass surface must not come into contact with hard materials. For this reason, cleaning with dishwasher tabs is recommended for vacuum jugs with glass insert:
Fill a measuring cup with a litre of warm water. Then add a dishwasher tab. After it has dissolved, fill the glass bulb completely and let the rinse water work overnight. After thorough rinsing, the sparkling glass insert is ready to use again in neutral taste.
