Description

The Lodge 10.5" Cast Iron Grill Pan is a multifunctional cookware that works wonders with all your favorite foods. This griddle is essential for big breakfasts, tortillas, quesadillas, fried vegetables and grilled sandwiches. Cast iron loves a campfire, stove or oven and can cook food slower without burning. It retains heat well, so you can sear meat at higher temperatures and keep your delicious meals warm for a long time. Whether in the kitchen or camp, this virtually indestructible cookware should last generations. This cast iron grill plate distributes heat evenly from below through the side walls. With a stylish black color, the cast iron cookware looks great in most kitchens and it also serves as an excellent source of nutrition iron. Measures 10.5" diameter and 0.47" deep. Cast iron, as your grandmother is used, still ranks among the best cooking utensils ever made. It provides an almost non-stick surface without the possible harmful fumes from preheating chemically treated non-stick cookware. American-based Lodge has been refining its construction from durable cast iron cookware for more than a century. The black patina created to the cookware through the factory seasoning process is in fact vegetable oil baked into a piece of cookware created from an individual sand mold. This coating of oil is a functional application and not a cosmetic application. The cookware hangs when driving through the electrostatic sprayer and commercial conveyor ovens at very high temperatures. This allows the oil to penetrate deep into the pores of the iron, allowing for easy release. As a result of this process, you can see a bubble or oil bubble at the southernmost point or at the end of the handle of the cookware. When visible, it will rub or flake off with your finger, leaving a brown spot. Dont worry, its not rusting, but a brown stain that indicates the paint level of the wort. In fact, this is the color of the used iron until it has been used several times. The brown dot turns black when in use. Weight: 2.1 kg.
