TiN coating:

The titanium nitride coating is carried out by a reactive, ion-assisted evaporation of titanium nitride at approx. 500°C The hardness is approx. 2300 HV The surface roughness is reduced and, in combination with the high hardness, allows very good sliding properties and higher speeds when drilling. Huge advantages are clearly in the universal use of this layer and the increased wear resistance and thus the service life of the drills.
