Description

Good lighting is important not only in windowless bathrooms. Light radiating from the ceiling brightens up the whole room. Wall lamps above and/or next to the mirror can be used here in addition to optimally illuminate the morning and evening routine. If there is only one light connection in the room, then versatility is required. The wall light or ceiling lamp should generously spread low-glare light, which works best with frosted (matted) glass lampshades. Individually selected LED bulbs or bathroom lamps with already integrated light sources with the desired lumen and Kelvin number ensure optimum brightness and a neutral colour temperature.

There are many suitable lamps for wall and ceiling. Spot spotlights allow targeted light thanks to their flexibility and offer an ideal light source in large and small bathrooms. But even rigid lights can make the bathroom shine individually if you attach multi-bulb - several sockets to one light - pieces. And if you look at a lot of light for your reflection, you are well advised with mirror lights.

The colours offer two ways: for cold metal colours such as chrome or nickel, you should carefully compare luminaire and fittings to create a harmonious picture in the bathroom. Or you can choose unusual colours such as rose gold and brass that add a special accent.

Fabric and wood are usually omitted in bathroom lights, the focus is on robust metals such as steel or brass as well as glass and plastic. Because steam and spray water set special requirements for lights. If you want to play it safe, you should rely on splash protection classes from IP44 or maintain a minimum distance of 1.2 m from the same for wall lights near the sink.
