●USAGE The classic Chantry knife sharpener can be used instead of a traditional honing steel. The sharpener can be used to sharpen smooth or serrated knives to restore the cutting edge of the blade. There is a sharp cutting edge without damaging the blade and does not require batteries or mains power, making it portable and reliable. The base has holes that allow the sharpener to be attached to a surface for even safer sharpening and to ensure it is easy to find in a busy professional kitchen.
●HOW IT WORKS The Taylors Eye Witness Classic Chantry Knife Sharpener reproduces the effect of a butcher. It automatically ensures that the correct edge angle is applied and sharpens both sides of the blade. The steels rotate under tension and do not wear out the blade. The sharpener can be used from either side and for either left or right handed users. The best choice for home cooks and professional chefs. After prolonged use, you may need to mount steels.
●How to use: wipe the knife blade before use to ensure that the sharpener stays clean. Pull the knife between the steels as if cutting bread with enough pressure to press the steels. Very dull knives may need a stronger effect. For best results, use the Chantry Knife Sharpener frequently, preferably every time the knife is used. Please note that in some cases micro-serration may remain on the blade during the sharpening process. A handy and compact size of 12.5cm x 11cm.
