Fitschenring
Fitschenring in a door hinge:
A fitting ring is a special shape of the washer, derived from fitschband (fitschband or fish band), a regionally varying name for belts of older design on wooden doors.
The standard dimensions of the disc are adapted to the diameters of the mandrels of door hinges. If a door grinds on the floor due to wear of the bands or changes to the flooring, it can be positioned higher by one or more fitting rings per band.
For doors with 3-piece straps, fitting rings are not suitable. The same number of rings per door hinge should always be used to optimally distribute the load. The prerequisite for the use of fitting rings is that the door has a sufficient gap size on its upper edge to the upper part of the door frame.
