There may be many reasons why doors no longer open, close or grind on the floor. Door or frame may have settled, the door hinges are worn or you have chosen a new floor covering that now builds more in height. Before you grind the door elaborately, fit rings are usually a quick, easy and economical solution.
After the door has been opened, one or more rings can be attached to the swivel bolts of the door hinges and then the door can be hung again.
When installing the washers, please note that the upper gap between the door and the frame is sufficiently large. Then check whether the latch and latch of the mortise lock still fit into the strike plate. This can be filed up if required.
