Magnetic contacts are commonly used for alarm systems (panel) to detect the condition of the door. It consists of a reed switch part and a magnetic part. When the door is closed, the reed switch is affected by the magnet and turn on the device. When the door is opened, the reed switch is affected by magnet and turned off, the alarm is triggered.
