Wide compatibility:
3-pin (TRS) socket: Compatible with all standard 3-pin microphones. e.g. Rode VideoMicro, BOYA Shotgun video microphone, YOTTO YVM-100 directional microphone.
4-pin (TRRS) connector: Compatible with all devices according to CTIA standard. e.g. smartphone (iOS and Android standard), laptop, PC, tablet, PS4, Xbox One.
Precautions:
The adapter is only compatible with 3-pole TRS microphone, not compatible with TS or TRRS microphone. Can only transfer microphone signal, audio signal transmission is not supported. The TRS-TRRS adapter is suitable only for Electret microphone or microphone with a built-in battery, not for dynamic microphone or microphones with phantom power and symmetrical transmission. Please note that the TRS to TRRS microphone converter only the CTIA standard, cannot support OMTP standard. Recommended connection method: First, we recommend plugging microphones into the 3.5mm jack of the adapter. Then connect the adapter to the 3.5 mm port of your device. This reduces electronic noise to a certain degree. The results are very different with different microphones, which is not on the adapter but due to the different level adjustments of the microphones.
