Description

With the invention of the worlds first lockable vibrato system in 1977, Floyd D. Rose revolutionized the electric guitar and thus a whole new generation of players. 40 years later, Floyd Rose offers a wide range of replacement vibrato systems, upgrades and replacements, and are used and trusted by some of the most influential and famous guitar players on the planet. This "Fat" brass block adds bulk and sustain to your Floyd Rose bridge along with the tonal qualities of brass. Works with Floyd Rose Original, non-fine tuner, 7 string, 1000 series* and Special* tremolo systems. Width is 50.15 mm and thickness is 12.90 mm. Brass was a sought-after material for luthiers dating back to the invention of the instrument; it is notorious for simultaneously increasing warmth and clarity, a rare combination. While it greatly strengthens chord clarity and jazzes up individual tones, it also greatly improves resonance, especially in the mid-range of the instrument. All these improvements are accompanied with the undeniably vintage sound and feel of this proven material. As this block is larger than a conventional sustain block, it can also limit the upward path of the tremolo and be adjusted in a blocked bridge configuration to fit against the body. For building a floating bridge, this block may require some guidance in the spring cavity. * The special 7-string tremolo systems have a sustain block mounting hole spacing that is different from any of our other systems - for this reason they can only work with their factory installed sustain blocks. These blocks will not work on the 1000 Series Pro 7 String
